Description
This was shot at the Mildred cement plant Kansas. It appears to be some kind of delivery tunnel but now provides shelter to a number of spiders instead.
We arrived far later than planned so it was completely dark and rather chilly. This was a last minute addition to our road trip and the late arrival meant we didn't get to stay long sadly.
In addition to that I didn't get to shoot much as it was a bugger to find anything in the pitch dark.
As I'm sure you can image I would have loved to have staid longer as these ruins make amazing subjects.
The Mildred Cement plant was closed in the 20's and extensively demolished using explosives so a bit of a dodgy place to wonder about in the dark!

Innitially I thought the tunnel might have been an outlet, but those stumps either side would hinder flow. Perhaps the stumps supported a conveyor belt?
