I spent a bit of time shooting Bees feeding on a mixture of orchids and other flows by a stream near where I live.
This young bee feeds on the nectar of a flower that was closed only a few days ago ago, he will then pollinate another flower and so the cycle continues :)
I am using a Nikkor 35-70mm AF-D F2.8 in macro mode. this gives nice close focusing at 35mm but very wide so I had to crop allot more than I like.
I did not use a speed light here as the natural light was good. It also allowed me to keep the background visible, if not in focus as I wanted the vibrant colours of spring to show through rather than the traditional inky black of most macro photographs

Aww what a cute bumblebee, I like how you have the bee in the corner, gives the photo character. Nice job!

One benefit to cropping is that you get to frame your image nicely, now your not being rushed by a busy subject :)

Thank you :D
Must admit though the bee and the blackberry plant did most of the work for me ;)
