I spent a bit of time shooting Bees feeding on a mixture of orchids and other flows by a stream near where I live. This young bee feeds on the nectar of a flower that was closed only a few days ago ago, he will then pollinate another flower and so the cycle continues I am using a Nikkor 35-70mm AF-D F2.8 in macro mode. this gives nice close focusing at 35mm but very wide so I had to crop allot more than I like. I did not use a speed light here as the natural light was good. It also allowed me to keep the background visible, if not in focus as I wanted the vibrant colours of spring to show through rather than the traditional inky black of most macro photographs For #AnotherContestGroup's Cute VS Horror Contest
