Description

I am used to the odd fly past of the 3 and 11 Sqn Typhoons as well as the BBMF. Today however this spitfire took to beating up my village. I managed to get my camera out in time for three passes, this being the best of the photographs I got. I do believe the pilot spotted me to, getting a little wing rock as he flew back to RAF Coningsby.
The Spitfire seen here is P7350, a Mk2a that is the oldest airworthy Spitfire in the world and the only Spitfire still flying to have actually fought
in the Battle of Britain although this may have changed with recent additions.

Here selective use of image blur has been achieved by using a slightly longer shutter speed than normal. This allows the spinning prop to blur slightly, giving the image a seance of movement. The tricky part is panning smoothly enough that the aircraft does not blur.

Awesome, the Spitfire is one of my favorite planes!
